More tools. More spend. Less pipeline.
Ten tools in the stack, rising acquisition cost, and nobody can say which one produced the deal.
The average B2B sales stack now runs about ten tools: CRM, sequencing, enrichment, intent data, analytics. Each was bought to fix a specific complaint. Together they answer no question at all.

Static lists in a signal-driven market
Contact data decays at roughly 30% a year. A list built last quarter is already wrong, and a sequence fired at a wrong list looks like activity while producing nothing.
Meanwhile the signals that say an account is actually in-market — site behaviour, review-site research, product usage, third-party intent — sit in tools that never speak to the sequencer.
Buy the motion, not the platform
The fix is not another tool. It is deciding the motion first: who you are going after, what signal says they are ready, what happens in the first hour after that signal fires, and who picks up the conversation.
Then the stack gets chosen to fit that. Usually it is fewer tools, wired together properly, than the ten already being paid for.
Emails sent and calls logged are not KPIs. Pipeline generated and meetings qualified are.
