—Build and sustain
Video is not a production problem
Most brands buy videos. The ones that compound buy a community strategy that happens to use video.
Find a vendor, shoot a video, post it, move on. It is a clean process and it produces a library nobody watches twice.
The cost is not the production budget. It is the compounding you never get.
Start with the brand problem
A brief that says "make short-form video" has already skipped the decision that matters. What should this brand stand for, with which audience, on which platform, and why would that audience come back?
We worked with a large stationery brand whose real brief was not video at all. It was a relevance problem with young parents. The positioning came first — handwriting skills for anxious parents — and the content system was built to carry it.
Then keep going
This is where most video services stop: assets delivered, invoice sent. Every video generates click-through, watch time, retention curves and subscriber behaviour, and all of it says what to make next.
- Which topics hold retention past thirty seconds, and which lose it at the hook.
- Which formats earn subscribers rather than views.
- Which comments are coming from the ICP you actually want.
- Who in the community is worth turning into an advocate.
Rented attention gets more expensive every year. Owned attention does not.
